LOS ANGELES – 50 years to the day of the release of their debut album, January 4 will be proclaimed “Day Of The Doors” in the city of Los Angeles.

ENCINO - More than five decades after members of the iconic Los Angeles band The Doors first jammed together, City Councilman Paul Koretz and drummer John Densmore unveiled an honorary “crossroads” Thursday in tribute to two of the rockers.

During an appearance on Appetite for Distortion, The Doors drummer John Densmore talked about the band's late frontman Jim Morrison, while also looking back on the band's 2000 performance with Stone Temple Pilots' Scott Weiland on vocals as part of the VH1 Storytellers show.
