Security Guards Patrol Jim Morrison's Grave to Ward Off Vandals

SECURITY GUARDS HAVE BEEN HIRED TO PATROL AROUND THE GRAVE OF ROCK STAR JIM MORRISON, AFTER COMPLAINTS THAT HIS FANS HAVE BEEN VANDALISING THE CEMETERY.

The Doors singer died from a suspected drugs overdose 37 years ago in Paris, aged just 27, and was buried in the city's famous Pere Lachaise graveyard.

The tomb has now become a hang-out for fans of Morrison, and thousands make the pilgrimage each year to honour their hero.

Over the years it has become a shrine covered in graffiti, poems, flowers, candles, alcohol and even underwear.
