Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes looked quite cozy together as touring visited the City of Lights’ legendary Pere-Lachaise cemetery on Saturday, November 27, 2011

Ryan Gosling and girlfriend Eva Mendes, who have been dating since September, were spotted having a romantic dinner at the Jules Verne Restaurant. After that, the star couple looked positively smitten with one another as they strolled along the Parisan streets to see the Eiffel Tower. Furthermore, the “Place Beyond the Pines” co-stars were captured smiling and holding hands as the affectionate couple visited the City of Lights’ legendary Pere-Lachaise cemetery, where Oscar Wilde, Jim Morrison, Chopin and Edith Piaf are buried on Saturday before sightseeing the underground Catacombs of Paris. The site Pere-Lachaise cemetery is the location of some scenes for Mendes’ upcoming film Holly Motors, which is currently in production. “They were holding hands and there was a lot of tenderness between them,” an observer told the magazine. Early Sunday morning, Ryan and Eva made their way through Charles de Gaulle airport in Paris, France where the couple caught a flight out of the city.

The couple started dating in September after meeting on the set of “The Place Beyond the Pines”, due to hit theaters in 2013. Ryan Gosling, 31, and Eva Mendes, 37, first were spotted out together last month driving around in Hollywood. Eva Mendes was previously linked to producer George Gargurevich, while Ryan has dated Rachel McAdams and Sandra Bullock.

My Pilgrimage To The Grave Of Jim Morrison

Written by bustudent
Sunday, 25 September 2011

This summer I spent seven weeks galavanting through Europe. One of my many stops was Paris, and being a Doors fan, I made a detour to the Pere Lachaise Cemetery to see my man Jim Morrison. Pere Lachaise is about 110 acres and is one of the most visited cemeteries in the world. With that said, I got lost about five minutes into my musical pilgrimage. The cemetery is winding, hilly and cram-packed. In fact, there are over a million internments. From the pictures below you can see what I was dealing with.

About an hour in, my friend and I did find Jim Morrison’s grave. But it seemed as though someone had beat us to it. A washed-up Australian hippie, decked out with his Doors-tee, was jamming out. He asked if I would please take his picture and then proceeded to pose in front of the grave, tongue out and flipping two very beautiful birds with both hands. I laughed, I’m sure looking a bit surprised, and all he said was this: “My ex-wife loved the Doors. Well you know what, that bitch left me and I am here and she isn’t. I am spamming this all over my facebook and tumblr. She can SUCK it.” I just gave him a high five. Enough said, dude.

Stop working and listen to these few Doors tracks, I’m sure you could use a break from real life anyway:

When I’m Gone. The End. People are Strange. The Celebration of the Lizard King.
